Jim Trott is a senior consultant with Net Objectives and a consultant with nonprofits and NGOs in the area of lean and knowledge management. He is a Scaled Agile Program Consultant and a co-author of four books:

  • Design Patterns Explained: A New Perspective on Object-Oriented Design

  • Lean-Agile Software Development: Achieving Enterprise Agility

  • Lean-Agile Pocket Guide for Scrum Teams

  • The Leanban Primer

Jim has a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies. An Associate Technical Fellow of a large aerospace company, he has also worked in the energy industry, banking and finance, software development, and artificial intelligence.

Passionate about innovation and process improvement, Jim joined the True North Consortium because of its commitment to providing an open and safe place to discuss and collaborate about lean and agile methods especially at scale. TNC offers the opportunity to work with working practitioners and coaches and others who share similar goals. It is a great way to give back to the community and to advance the practice.
